Curriculum vitae

Dr. Violeta Kalėdaitė is Professor of English linguistics at the Department of Foreign Language, Literary and Translation Studies, researcher at the Centre of Intercultural Communication and Multilingualism at Vytautas Magnus University. Researcher, educator and expert with rich experience in (inter)national research projects, has held several post-doctoral grants and visiting fellowships at universities in Europe and the USA. Member of the editorial board of the e-journal “Applied Linguistics” (Vilnius University). Coordinator of the master’s programme at VMU “Applied English Linguistics”.

Research interests include topics in the areas of contrastive studies of language, sociolinguistics, translation studies, multilingualism and language policy.
