Short Bio

Vincenzo Lagioia is researcher on a fixed-term contract type A(Junior) at the Department of History Cultures and Civilizations of the University of Bologna, Italy, where he collaborates in teaching early modern. His research interests are the exploration in the Ancien Régime, theology and Lumières, and gender studies. He is also a member of the Société Internationale pour l’Etude des Femmes de l’Ancien Régime (SIEFAR). Last published works include: Un missionario alla scoperte delle Antille. Jean-Baptiste Du Tertre, esploratore d’Ancien Régime (Il Mulino 2014); together with Cesarina Casanova, «Genere e Storia: percorsi» (Bologna, 2014); La verità delle cose. Margherita Luisa d’Orléans: donna e sovrana d’Ancien Régime (Roma 2015); together with Umberto Grassi and Gian Paolo Romagnani, Tribadi, sodomiti, invertite e invertiti, pederasti, femminelle, ermafroditi. Per una storia dell’omosessualità, della bisessualità e delle trasgressioni di genere in Italia (Pisa, ETS 2017); Le système du genre: pouvoir masculin, résistance des femmes au XVII e / XVIII e siècles (Aix-Provence-Marseille, PUP 2018).
