His main research interests are: greek pottery (production, circulation, iconography), with particular reference to the attic pottery and of Southern Italy and Sicily; production of ceramics and different contexts of diffusion of greek pottery (sacred areas, settlememt, necropolis), in Etruria, il the middle-adriatic area and in Magna Grecia and Sicily; as a principal investigator, he conducts a research project on the picenian necropolis in the Davanzali area of Numana-Sirolo (AN) and on the Urban Archaeology of Ancona (with E. Giorgi). He directs the excavations in the picenian necropolis "I Pini" in Sirolo (AN) and in the Potter's Quarter outside Gate V in Agrigento; he is part of the research team of the research projects on the
insula III of the so called "hellenistic-roman quarter" of Agrigento and "Archeo Nevola", Corinaldo (AN).
