Valentina Ciriello

Valentina Ciriello is a Professor of Hydraulics at the University of Bologna since 2019. Her research interests are model reduction and uncertainty quantification in fluid mechanics and hydrology. She is PI for a Research Project of National Interest (PRIN2022) focused on predictive forecasting and risk assessment for CO2 transport in pipelines. She also acted as a local coordinator for a Research Project (PRIN2017) on fluid dynamics to predict cardiovascular diseases and for the H2020 Project CLARA on climate forecast. She is Associate Editor for Stochastic Environmental Research and Risk Assessment (Springer), Journal of Hydrology (Elsevier), and Journal of machine learning for modeling and computing (Begell House).
