Valentina Ciriello

Valentina Ciriello is an Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Bologna. Her research interests include model reduction and uncertainty quantification in fluid mechanics and hydrology. She has been appointed Anneliese Niethammer Lecturer at the University of Stuttgart for 2026. She is the Chair of the Conference on Computational Methods in Water Resources (CMWR) 2026. She is Associate Editor of Stochastic Environmental Research and Risk Assessment (Springer), Journal of Hydrology (Elsevier), Journal of Machine Learning for Modeling and Computing (Begell House), and ARC Geophysical Research.
