Umberto Soverini graduated in Electronic Engineering at the
University of Bologna in 1985 and in 1990 obtained the PhD
degree in Systems Engineering with the thesis
Determination of mathematical models from data with noise.
In 1992 he became Assistant Professor in Systems and Control at the
Department of Electronics, Computer and Systems Science, University
of Bologna. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering "Guglielmo Marconi".
Umberto Soverini has carried out his teaching duties at the
Faculty of Engineering, University of Bologna since 1991. He
has had teaching commitments also at the seat of Cesena and at the
Universities of Ferrara and Parma. He has been a lecturer in the
Postgraduate Specialization Course "Dynamic System Identification",
held in collaboration between the University of Bologna and the
Catholic University of Louvain.
Umberto Soverini has carried out his scientific activities
since 1986 at the University of Bologna. The issues of his activity are
primarily concerned in the field of Systems Theory,
Identification, Filtering Theory and Signal Processing. He has been
a visiting researcher in many foreign Universities,
he has participated in numerous national and European research
projects, he has organized and taught courses and seminars in
national and foreign Universities, he has
been responsible for scientific national research projects and
has worked with national research centers and national
industries.
Umberto Soverini is the author of more than one hundred publications,
mainly in international journals and conference proceedings.
