Research fields

A first area of research covers some of the key themes of the art and culture of the Emilia from XVIth to XVIIIth century; a second area of interest concerns Iconography and Iconology and the Survival of Classical Culture in the Modern Age. She has concentrated on Estense artistic patronage and collections in Ferrara and Modena; on the history of the painted frieze in XVIth century Bologna (Nicolò dell'Abate; Carracci), on the iconography of the Tale of Cupid and Psyche in modern European art. Plans the conferences held during the Festival of Ancient Music “Grandezze & Meraviglie”.
