Curriculum vitae

Sofia Pescarin has a degree in Topography of Ancient Italy. She has a master in Exhibition Design and a PhD in History and Computing. She is currently a researcher at the National Council of Researches (CNR ISPC). Her research interests cover a wide domain that includes Virtual Archaeology, Landscape Reconstruction, Digital Heritage, Virtual Museums, Embodied Cognition and Museology, Applied Games, Interactive Media Design and Multimodal Design. She is Chief Editor since 2017 of the Elsevier Journal "Digital Application in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage" (DAACH). Since 2018, she is a professor at the University of Bologna, where she teaches Intangible Heritage and Multimedia, and at the University of Ferrara, where she teaches Multimodal Design at the Master of Innovation Design. Among her projects: Virtual Museum of the Scrovegni Chapel of Giotto in Padova (2003), Virtual Rome (2006), Archeovirtual (2008-2017), Virtual Museum of Western Han Dynasty (Xian China), Aquae Patavinae VR, the Virtual Museum Transnational Network (V-MUST 2011-2014), Digital Heritage World Congress event (2013), Keys to Rome exhibition (2014), A Night in the Forum videogame (2019).
