Short Bio

Fixed-Term Researcher in Tenure Track at the University of Bologna, Ph.D. in Criminology at the Université de Montréal, focuses on research in the field of policing protest and sociology of police.  Research interests also include: the management of public order and the relationship with authorities and new media; as well as institutional violence against minors, gender and hate speech; and more recently, intimate partner violence within the LGBTQI+ community and victims of environmental crimes.

Participates or has participated in a research team for the SEVeso project - Support Eco-Victims: Strategies and Tools for Supporting Rights and Compensation of Environmental Harm’s Victims; for the project VIFED: Family Victimization Processes and Mental Distress: A National Analysis; for  the project UE - European Union’s Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme GENHA "Hate speech, gender, social networks and political parties" and for the project "Supporting Action to Foster Embedding of child safeguarding policies in Italian faith led organizations and sports club for children - SAFE.

Office hours are on Thursdays from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Meetings must be arranged in advance with the professor and can be held either on Teams or in person.
