Serena Ghiselli

I am a junior assistant professor (fixed-term) since March 2023. The research project I am working on is about the identification of the neurocognitive bases of intra- and inter-individual differences in language perception and production in late bilinguals. I got my Bachelor's degree in Applied Interlinguistic Communication at the University of Trieste (2012) and my Master's degree in Interpreting at the University of Bologna (2015). I carried out academic research in the field of conference interpreting during my PhD in Translation, Interpreting and Intercultural studies, obtained in 2019, and in a two-year research grant (September 2020 - August 2022) at the Department of Interpreting and Translation (DIT) in Forlì. As a post-doc research fellow, I took part in a PRIN project about the informalisation of English language learning through the media (October 2022 – February 2023) at the University of Salento. I am a member of AIA (Italian Association of English Studies) and I was adjunct professor and teaching tutor for academic courses of English language in the AY 2019-2020.
