shelf-life of foods.
Microbiological Challenge Testing (MCT) for process and food products, using target microorganisms.
Study of marine biotoxins.
Study of polar lipids in blue-back fish.
Development of fast diagnostic techniques and bio-molecular methods to
detect pathogenic bacteria in environmental samples and in
foods.
Development of bio-molecular techniques to detect the main
virulence factors of food pathogenic bacteria.
Detection and/or enumeration of pathogenic bacteria such as Salmonella spp.,
EHEC, EAEC, Listeria monocytogenes, Campylobacter spp,
Clostridium perfringens, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and other
food-borne pathogens in intestinal contents, faeces, environmental
samples, meat, meat products, fishery products, milk and milk products, eggs and egg products.
Effect of substances on the poultry and swine intestinal
