A third-year PhD student in “PSCS - Philosophy Science Cognition and Semiotics” with a curriculum in “Philosophy and Science Studies”. She is currently conducting research in the area of the history of Greco-Roman medicine, focusing in particular on the study of the medical traditions that were widespread between the Archaic and Late Antiquity in the area of ancient Lucania.
Education
She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Classical Literature at the University of Naples "Federico II" in 2006 and a Master's degree in "Text Languages and Literature" - curriculum "Philology, Linguistics, Greek and Latin Literature" at the University of Rome "Sapienza" in 2009. In 2013 she obtained her teaching qualification after completing a year of "TFA - Tirocinio Formativo Attivo”. In 2016 she became a permanent teacher at the high school. Since 2020 she has been enrolled in the 36th cycle of the doctorate in Philosophy, Science, Cognition and Semiotics (PSCS) at the University of Bologna, with a research project in History of Ancient Medicine
Scientific activity
She took part in the conference “Ad limina - Frontiere e contaminazioni transdisciplinari nella storia delle scienze” held in Catania on 30 May - 1 June 2022 with a paper entitled: Parmenide “naturalista risanatore” and in the conference “Natura incognita. Luoghi, metodi e rappresentazioni nello studio della natura” held in Naples between 6 and 8 September 2023 with a paper entitled “Le rose di Paestum e l’ars dei coltivatori pestani”. Both events were organised by the SISS - Società Italiana di Storia della Scienza.
