EDUCATION

1993: Laurea (equivalent to M.A.) cum laude in Portuguese Language and Literature, at University of Florence. Thesis: The religious discourse in Saramago's novels. Supervisor: prof. Piero Ceccucci;

1998: Ph. D. in Iberistica at University of Bologna. Dissertation: From palimpsest to text. The Portuguese pastoral novel. Supervisor: prof. Roberto Vecchi. The portuguese version of this dissertation (Do Palimpsesto ao Texto. A Novela Pastoril Portuguesa) was published in Lisbon in 1999 by Edições Colibri.

EMPLOYMENT

1998-99: Lecturer in Portuguese Literature at SSIT of University of Trieste, in Portuguese Language and Literature at University of Pavia, in Brazilian Literature at
University "Ca' Foscari" of Venice;
1999-2000: Lecturer in Portuguese Language and Literature at University of Pavia and in Brazilian Literature at University "Ca' Foscari" of Venice.
2001-2004: Assistant Professor of Portuguese Language and Literature at University of Bologna
2004-05: Associate Professor of Portuguese Linguistics  at University of Bologna.

2005-2009: Member of the Academic Staff for the PhD program in "Iberistica" (Portuguese and Brazilian Literature) at the University of Bologna;
