Roberta Paltrinieri

She has been Full Professor of Sociology of Cultural and Communication Processes (GSPS-06/A) at the University of Bologna since 2015. Since 2024, she has served as Deputy Director of the Department of the Arts and Coordinator of the Third Mission – Public Engagement Committee. She is President of the 2023–2025 National Scientific Qualification (ASN) Committee for the SPS/08 academic sector and Scientific Coordinator of the PIC – Cultural Processes and Institutions Section of the Italian Sociological Association (AIS). She is also a member of the Steering Committee of the Culture Commission of Fondazione del Monte di Bologna e Ravenna. She is Principal Investigator of the PRIN 2022 PNRR project Cultural Welfare Ecosystems for Wellbeing: Mapping, Semantics and Practices, Co-designing Tools and Raising Awareness and leads the research project Practices and Policies of Accessibility in Italy, conducted within the Personeper project of the Fondazione Scuola dei beni e delle attività culturali. In 2025, she received the Save the Children First Prize for the best research project in Italy focusing on adolescents, for the study Fammi spazio.
