Curriculum vitae

Riccardo Billero is Adjunct Professor at the University of Bologna since 2018 and Adjunct Professor at the University of Florence since 2018.

He is also Lecturer and Teaching Assistant at the Free University of Bozen since 2019.

Training

Graduated in Computer Engineering in 2009 at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Florence, he obtained a PhD in Telematics and Information Society (XXV cycle) at the University of Florence in 2013.

 

Academic career

He carried out research activities from 2010 to 2015 at the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Florence, dealing mainly with Linked Data, Open Data and their application in tourism and in the context of Smart City, first as PhD student and subsequently as research fellow.

From 2016 he works as research fellow in the Research Unit "Lexicon of Cultural Heritage" (Department of Languages, Literature and Intercultural Studies of the University of Florence), in the role of Technological Responsible for the management of the IT area of the homonymous research project.

From 2018 he is a Adjunct Professor in Computer Science, first at the School of Mathematics, Physics and Natural Sciences of the University of Florence and at the School of Humanistic and Educational Studies of the University of Florence, then also at the School of Economics, Management and Statistics of the University of Bologna.

From 2019 he is also Lecturer and Teaching Assistant at the Free University of Bozen.

 

Participations in research groups

From 2010 to 2014 member of the Radar and Telematic Systems laboratory at the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Florence, first as a doctoral candidate and then as a research fellow.

From 2010 to 2015 member of the CNIT Research Unit (National Inter-University Consortium for Telecommunications) of the University of Florence.

From 2014 to 2015 member of the DiSiT laboratory (Distributed Systems and Internet Technologies Lab) at the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Florence, as research fellow.

Since 2016 member of the "Lexicon of Cultural Heritage" Research Unit at the Department of Languages, Literatures and Intercultural Studies of the University of Florence as research assistant in the role of Technology Manager for IT management and design and implementation of databases for linguistic corpora.
