Raffaella Di Sante

Associate Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Bologna. She has been conducting her teaching and research activity for more than 20 years in the field of mechanical and thermal measurements. Primary research interests include electro-optic measurement systems, especially fiber-optic- and laser-interferometry-based, and their application in the fields of structural health monitoring and diagnostics of engineering structures.

She has participated to numerous national and European research projects, in collaboration with Italian and international research centers, universities and  companies. She authored more than 90 publications in national and international proceedings and journals. She conducts review activity for numerous journals and for the evaluation of research proposals for the Italian Ministry of Research and University, European research centers and the European Commission.
