Raffaella Di Sante

Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Bologna. For more than 20 years, she has been carrying out teaching and research activity in the field of mechanical and thermal measurements. Primary research interests include electro-optic measurement systems, particularly fiber-optic sensing and laser interferometry, and their application in the fields of structural health monitoring and diagnostics of engineering structures.

She has participated to numerous national and European research projects, in collaboration with Italian and international research centers, universities and  companies. She authored more than 100 publications in national and international proceedings and journals. She serves as a reviewer for numerous international scientific journals and as evaluator of research proposals for the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR), European research agencies and the European Commission.
