In 2015 I became associate professor at the Università di Bologna. My research interest span from sociolinguistics, to humour studies, audiovisual translation, and non-professional interpreting and translation (child language brokering). More specifically I have been studying the sociolinguistics of the Irish language, the perception of dubbing and of subtitled humour, the teaching of linguistic mediation (liaison interpreting), and language and culture. At the moment I am focussing my research activities on child Language brokering.
I am involved in national and international research projects. I presented the results of my studies at numerous conferences (both as a presenter and keynote speaker). I have authored many published articles and edited volumes.
