After studying at Bologna University where I earned a PhD in
Sociology and Social Politics and a Post-doctorate in Political and
Economic Juridical Sciences I am currently an associate Sociology
professor of Cultural and Communicative Processes at the University
of Bologna where I teach “Web Sociology and Globalisation", "Sociology of Communication" and "Sociology of Territory and Culture".
Scientific Coordinator of the
Multimedia Laboratory of the Department of Sociology and Business Law, University of Bologna.
Member and Co-Founder of Ces.Co.Com (Consumption and Communication
Research Center) at Bologna University's Sociology and Business Law
Faculty and Director of the “Leonardo Da Vinci” Project at
Bologna's Political Sciences Faculty.
Responsible of the European Erasmus exchange with Universities in Bielefeld, Copenhagen, Vilnius, Mid Sweden, Braga, and Tartu.
Deputy of the Overseas activities for the Department of Sociology and Business Law, University of Bologna.
Representative for the Erasmus Placement
Project and Delegate of International Relationships for the Sociology and Business Law Department.
Since 2009 I
have been a member of the Prosumer Research Group at Maryland
University UMD and from 2012 adjunct at Duquesne University Pittsburgh.
Since 2017 I'm member of the scientific board of the RN05 Sociology of Consumption ESA (European Sociological Association), and of the scientific board PIC AIS (Cultural Processes and Institutions - Associazione Italiana di Sociologia)
Member of the Editorial Board of the "Journal of Consumer Ethics" and of the "Africa e Mediterraneo Journal" (both double blind peer review).
Member of the Local Scientific Committee of the Bologna Process Anniversary (University of Bologna, European University Association, ESU European Student Union).
