My research activity focuses primarily on the study of organizational and management models for healthcare professions, as well as on innovation and organizational change processes within complex healthcare systems. Particular attention is devoted to the development and evaluation of hospital- and community-based care models, interprofessional integration, continuity of care, and community-oriented healthcare services.
Further areas of interest include leadership and professional development within the healthcare professions, clinical and nursing governance models, and strategies for workforce management and development, with a specific focus on competency development, staff engagement, retention, and age management.
My research also addresses the evaluation of healthcare quality and clinical and organizational outcomes, as well as the impact of organizational models on quality, patient safety, workforce well-being, and the sustainability of healthcare services.
