Monica Martoni graduated from Bologna University in Experimental
Psychology in 1999. In 2001 she received her Diplôme d'Etudes
Supérieures Spécialisées d'Ergonomie at Paris V - René Descartes
University, and, in 2005, she completed Postgraduate Studies in
Health Psychology at Bologna University.
From October 2006 to January 2021 she worked as a Researcher /
Assistant Professor (Lecturer) at the Faculty of Medicine,
University of Bologna, where she teached Cognitive Psychology and
Work and Organizational Psychology for several degree courses. She
spent a period carrying out research at the Centre du Sommeil et de
la Vigilance de l'Hôpital Hôtel Dieu - Université Paris Descartes
within the structure of Bologna University's Marco Polo
Program. Since January 2021 she has been working as Associate Professor at Department of Experimental, Diagnostic and Specialty Medicine (University of Bologna).
The main research fields of Ms Martoni
involve (i) chronopsychology and chronopsychology, the
sleep-wake cycle and its physiological and cognitive
aspects; (ii) time perspective and dispositional mindfulness; (iii) self-care for health professionals.
She is the author of several publications in national and
international journals.
