Curriculum vitae

Michele Mengoni received the MSc degree with honors in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bologna in 2006. From 2006 to 2007 he collaborated with the Dept. of Electrical Engineering at the same University on a project concerning direct AC / AC matrix converters. In 2010 he was a visiting student at the University of Nottingham, UK. Finally, in 2010 he received the PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bologna. From 2010 to 2013 he was Research Fellow at the Dept. of Electrical Engineering. Since 2013, he is Researcher at the Departement of Electrical and Information Engineering "Guglielmo Marconi", University of Bologna.

Since 2006, Dr. Mengoni has been a member of the Research Group in Power Electronics, Electrical Machines and Drives of the University of Bologna. His research activities are focused on the following topics:

 

1) Analysis and design of innovative power converters (matrix, multilevel and multiphase).

2) Modulation techniques and control strategies for power electronics converters.

3) Control systems for electrical drives.

 

 

Dr. Mengoni is author of more than 100 scientific papers published in technical journals and conference proceedings  and has participated in several national research projects. He serves as a reviewer for several IEEE Journals and IEEE international conferences.
