Entertainment Management and Economy. In particular, he focused his
studies on Cultural Marketing and Project Management with the aim
of exploiting this knowledge during the stages of design and
layout. He is also widely interested in intercultural issues.
His main research topic remains Japan thanks to his teaching
collaboration with the course of Oriental Theatre and the academic
experience acquired in Bologna University. Among several topics,
Noh Theatre represents the focus of his research and writing
activity. Other investigations have been carried out about Kabuki
and Bunraku theatre, Peking Opera and one of its main artists, Mai
Lanfang.
Teaching activity in the field of Entertainment Anthropology
(mainly focused on an anthropological approach of African
performatory phenomenon) has fostered further research and
investigation on Griot and passage rites analyzed from
Turner perspective.
Especially in the central-south area and on its main islands,
Italian peninsula offers a wide range of folkloristic phenomenon
such as carnivals, mysteries and patron saint festivals. Specific
studies have been carried out by fieldwork on the Sacred Week of
