Curriculum vitae

Adjunct professor at the University of Bologna since 2010, he carries out his research in the field of cultural anthropology and religions in relation to the world of tourism and business. The research interests are aimed in particular at the symbolic forms of myth, the rituals of passage and the critique of ethnographic authority. He currently focuses his research on the impact of different cultural dimensions on marketing activities, human resource management and service provision.

Education

Graduated in Law in 1988 at the University of Urbino with a degree thesis on the "diplomatic protection of citizens abroad".

Academic career

After a few years of seminary activity from 2007 to 2009) he takes on contract teaching for the University of Bologna from 2010 to today's date), at University of Venice (2015). In 2015, until 2020, he held the position of Scientific Director of the Higher Education Course in Internationalization Processes at the University of San Marino where, at the same time, he held the position of teaching in "models of internationalization", "the marketing of luxury goods" and "sales strategies in international markets".

Teaching activity

Since 2010 he has been lecturing as holder of various teachings in the master’s degree Courses for the Department of Business Sciences and that of Economics.

He is currently professor of managing cultural diversity in the internationalization processes and of the crash course in job placement in the tourism sector for the Department of Economics and of managing cultural diversity in the internationalization processes for the Department of Business Sciences.

Scientific activity

He has written and participated in the drafting of some books on the theme of the relationship between anthropology and internationalization processes, including: “An ethical management of human resources in developing countries” (Fara Editore, 2006), “The entrepreneurial conscience in the construction of the common good” (UCID, 2007), “Internationalization: its forms, FDI and the analysis of diversity” (McGraw Hill, 2009), “Civil economy, democracy transparency and social and environmental accounting research role: some reflections in theory and in practice deriving from 2nd CSEAR CONFERENCE – ITALY” (McGraw Hill, 2010), “Skills and tools to the cultural heritage and cultural tourism management” (Edizioni D'Errico, 2013). He has written some scientific articles on the impact of culture in purchasing decisions and tourist destinations, including "Culture as a critical enabler for tourism destination development" and "Ethnic profiling of luxury goods consumers in Southeast Asia: new insights in the international entrepreneurship approach".

Other activities

Since 2017 he has been Ambassador of the Republic of San Marino to ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) in Indonesia and since 2012 he has been Ambassador of the Republic of San Marino to Vietnam.
