Martina Codeluppi is Associate Professor at the Department of Interpreting and Translation at the University of Bologna. She holds a Ph.D. in Asian and African Studies/Comparative Literature from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and Sorbonne Nouvelle University, and her academic journey has included appointments at the University of Insubria, Ca’ Foscari University, and the University of Naples “L’Orientale.” Her research focuses on Sinophone and Chinese literature, literary translation, and climate fiction, with numerous peer-reviewed publications and translations, including Fictional Memories (2020) and the forthcoming Unlivable Planets with Brill.
She has an extensive teaching portfolio across BA and MA programs, covering Chinese language, literature, and translation, and has supervised courses at several leading Italian universities. Codeluppi has actively participated in international conferences and symposia, presenting research on climate fiction, translingualism, and contemporary Chinese literature. She is also a literary translator, with translations of works by authors such as An Yu, Shi Yifeng, and Hao Jingfang.
