Education and Teaching activities
She has a degree in Agricultural Sciences (Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Bologna) with a specialization in Plant Protection. She spent a research period at the Department of Phytopathology of Wageningen in The Netherlands working on fungicide resistance monitoring. She has a PhD in Plant Pathology on the research topic on Epidemiology and fungicide sensitivity in Stemphylium vesicarium (Brown spot) on Pear. She has been worked on many research projects about epidemiology and control of the most important fruit and vegetable diseases. Her main interest is on fungicide efficacy and resistance of the fungi to natural and syntetic fungicides. She has a permanent position as assistant professor on Plant Protection at the Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences (DISTAL).
Scientific activity
She was assistant supervisor and supervisor of 35 graduation thesis and 9 PhD thesis. She published about 200 works in scientific journals, conference proceedings and conference communications. She is teaching in two courses at the master of Science in the Agricultural Sciences and Technologies.
Institutional activity
Member of the Quality Assurance Committee of the Second Cycle Degree Programme in Agricultural Sciences and Technologies (STAG). Contact person for the curriculum of Plant Medicine of the same degree course.
Other activities
She collaborates in the organization of conferences both Italian (in particular the biennial appointment of the Giornate Fitopatologiche) and international on phytopathology issues. She was the editor of the Proceedings of the Giornate Fitopatologiche, the most important Italian meeting on the control of diseases, insects and weeds of cultivated plants.
Membership of scientific committees
Member of the Board 2020-2022 of the Italian Association for the Protection of Plants (AIPP).
