Mariangela Vandini

Associate Professor of Physics applied to cultural heritage. She is Head of research and Responsible of the Conservation Science Laboratory for Cultural Heritage (Department of Cultural Heritage) and Delegate for Inernational Relations. Her main research interests are: scientific investigations of archaeological and historical building materials for archaeometric purposes and to support restoration interventions, use of scientific methodologies for the study of cultural heritage: technological knowledge of findings and objective evaluation of the state of conservation; chemico-physical techniques for the characterisation of materials, knowledge of the production techniques and for provenance and dating analyses.
