Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time. Identification is required (university badge or valid ID document). This allows the identification process to be completed so that the exam can start promptly at 10:00.

⛔ No dictionaries, digital devices, or external resources of any kind are permitted.
⛔ Cheating in any form will result in immediate invalidation of the exam. This includes copying from another student, using unauthorised materials, or communicating with others during the test.
Exam structure
1 Part 1 — Multiple choice cloze (10 items · 10 points) — Read the passage and choose the best option (A, B, C or D) for each numbered gap.
2 Part 2 — Word formation (10 items · 10 points) — Change the root word in brackets so that it correctly fits the sentence. Write one word only, in capitals.
3 Part 3 — Open cloze (11 items · 11 points) — Fill each gap with one appropriate word. The first letters are given as a clue. Write your answers in capitals.
Important rules
✔ Bring your own pen — the exam is pen and paper, no other materials needed.
✔ No points are deducted for wrong answers — always attempt every item.
✔ In Part 3, the missing word is never a word already visible in the passage, and is always longer than two letters.
✔ Write all Part 2 and Part 3 answers in capital letters.
Marking
★ The exam is marked out of 30. The minimum pass mark is 18/30. The extra point (31st item) is reserved for the distinction: scoring all 31 items correctly awards a final mark of 30 con lode.
Results and recording
→ Results will be published on Virtuale within 5 working days, listed anonymously by matricola number only. You will receive a notification.
→ Once results are published, you have 24 hours to decline your mark by sending an email to the instructor.
→ If no email is received within 24 hours, the mark will be recorded on AlmaEsami automatically.
