Teaching Activities at the University workplace

Since 1993, she has carried out continuously teaching activity. In particular, over the years the following topics have been specifically taught, suitably structured in the various courses in relation to the educational plans and goals of faculties/departments:

  • Performance analyses of components, systems and transport systems (courses of: Air transport; Transportation Plants and Terminals & Management and Operation of Transport Systems; Transport Technique and Economy);
  • Methods and techniques for simulating demand for mobility, transport supply, demand/supply interaction, economic, territorial, energy and environmental impacts (courses of: Planning of transport systems; Transport Systems Theory; Transport Systems Engineering; Quantitative Methods for Transport Planning; Laboratory for the design of civil engineering works;
  • Regulation, control and tactical and strategic planning of transport (courses of: Quantitative Methods for Transport Planning; Transport planning; Transport and Territory;
  • Design, management and operation of transport services (courses of: Transportation Plants and Terminals & Management and Operation of Transport Systems; Transport Technique and Economy; Laboratory for the design of works for civil engineering).

In addition, according to the training objectives of the specific course of studies, the basic elements related to freight transport and intelligent transport systems (ITS) have been provided.

Degree and PhD Theses Responsibilities

Within the teaching activities and the PhD courses she was involved in various degree theses, at the University of Reggio Calabria, concerning topics about the analysis and estimation of the transport demand, the air transport system, the transit system, the use of neural networks to simulate different aspects of the transport system.

Particularly, she tutored two PhD theses dealing with the forecast of the air transport demand by using time series and discrete choice models
