Maria Laura Lanzillo is Full Professor of History of Political
Thought at the University of Bologna (Italy). She's member of
the Department of Political and Social Sciences (University of
Bologna).
She got her B.A. in Philosophy at the University of
Bologna in 1992 and her Ph.D. in Political Philosophy at the
University of Pisa in 1997.
From 2009 to 2013 she was member
of the board for the Equal opportunities of the University of
Bologna. From 2012 to 2015 and from 2021-2023 she was Programme Director of master degree in "Mass Media and Politics" (School of Political Sciences, University of Bologna - Forlì Campus).
She's editor in chief of “Filosofia
politica” (ed. by Il Mulino – Bologna), Scientific Director of web
journal "Governare la paura. Journal of interdisciplinary Studies"
(http://governarelapaura.unibo.it) and editor of " Nuova Informazione Bibliografica" (ed. by Il Mulino – Bologna), member of the Centro Interuniversitario di Ricerca sul Lessico
Politico e Giuridico Europeo, Naples (Centre for the Research on
European Political and Juridical Lexicon). She's member of
International Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies and associated
member of the international network Europhilosophie.
