The research concerns Japanese children's literature and the possibilities of its use in the context of intercultural relations between Italy and Japan, as deepening knowledge between the two countries, and as supplementary material in learning the Japanese language. Therefore it is focused on traditional fairy tales (mukashi banashi) and authored fairy tales, modern and contemporary, with particular reference to Miyazawa Kenji.
