I am a developmental cognitive neuroscientist, and I study how early life experiences—such as affective touch and exposure to digital media—shape children’s socio-cognitive development from the very first days of life. My research adopts a multidisciplinary approach that integrates behavioral techniques (eye-tracking), electrophysiological measures (EEG), and physiological measures (EDA, ECG, EMG).
I obtained my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Clinical and Developmental Psychology at the University of Milano-Bicocca, where I also completed my PhD. During my postdoctoral training, I further explored the regulatory role of affective touch in infancy. In 2023, I joined the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan as a researcher (RTDA), where I focused on the impact of new technologies on children.
In the autumn of 2025, I began my appointment as an Associate Professor at the University of Bologna.
