Research

Keywords: EGYPT RELIGION OSIRIS FAYYUM SOBEK

My research has been focused on different aspects of the Egyptian religion, in particular on three specific topics:

- study and analysis of one of the most important deity of the Egyptian pantheon, Osiris. In particular, some forms of the god have been studied in depth.

- study and analysis of the religious beliefs and practices of the Fayyum region in the dynastic period.

- study and analysis of rituals performed in the temples; in particular this part of the research is focused on the ritual scenes and texts engraved on the walls of the Graeco-Roman temples.

A research projects is also in progress, aiming at collecting and publishing all the hieroglyphic inscriptions from the Fayyum region.
