1. Profile and Expertise
Economist specialized in agri-food, behavioural and development economics, with over 30 years of experience in research, education and policy design related to sustainable food systems, development and sustainability, and multi-actor governance.
My work integrates economic analysis, behavioural insights and policy evaluation to support evidence-based strategies for sustainable transformation of agri-food systems, particularly in Africa and the Mediterranean region.

My research has focused on:
- Understanding behavioural antecedents of farmers’ and consumers’ food-related decisions in resource-constrained contexts by implementing in-lab and lab-in-the-field economic experiments combined with surveys and randomized control trials.
- Developing innovative policies and technologies to improve the resilience and inclusiveness of agri-food systems.
- Supporting evidence-based strategies for poverty reduction, women’s empowerment, and climate adaptation in Africa.
