Marco Roccetti

Since 2000 a professor of Computer Science, Department of Computer Science, currently a Senior Fellow of the Degree in Information Science for Management: University of Bologna.

Awarded with a Member status to the Academy of Sciences (2019) and the Institute of Advanced Studies (2024) Bologna.

Member of the Scientific Board of the Italian Space Agency (2022-24), Coordinator of the PhD School on Data Science/Computation, University of Bologna (2017-18), Visiting Scholar at UCLA (2011-15), Visiting Scientist at ICSI, Berkeley (1993).

Research interests: Data thinking, Inferential AI, Data deluge, Prescient intelligence, Biomedinformatics.

Since 1990 he (co)authored 250+ papers (average number of coauthors per paper less than 2.5), honored by five best paper awards, a Microsoft Research Star Award and a Web Accessibility Challenge Delegates Award (W3C Consortium).

His h-indexes: 35, 37 and 42, according respectively to Scopus (>3000 citations), Researchgate (>4100 citations), and Google Scholar (>5100 citations).
