Short Bio

Marco Alberio is Associate Professor of Sociology (economic and labour processes) in the Department of Sociology and Business Law at Alma Mater Università di Bologna (UNIBO), Italy (November 2020 - present). His current position is the result of an international career path across Europe and North America. He has been a professor in Canada for more than eight years (full pr. from 2018) before being also appointed at UNIBO: one year at Sainte-Anne University (Nova Scotia) and seven at the University of Québec (UQAR - Lévis). He is the holder of a Canada Research Chair (CRC) in social innovation (2016-2021) at UQAR. He is editor of the Canadian Journal of Nonprofile and Social Economy Research/Revue canadienne de re­cherche sur les OSBL et l’économie sociale. Although having worked in Canada for many years, he has always cooperated with the Italian academic environment. He also collaborates regularly with researchers in Canada, Europe (Switzerland, Italy, France), and elsewhere (e.g., Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, USA). Go to the Curriculum vitae
