Department of Physics and Astronomy "Augusto Righi"

Academic discipline: FIS/05 Astronomy and Astrophysics

Short Bio

Associate Professor since October 2019, at Università di Bologna since 2012, after 8 years of post-doctoral research experience at the Max Planck Institute fuel Extraterrestrische Physik in Garching bei Muenchen.
Her research interests are in the field of extragalactic astrophysics, and in particular on the study of physical and evolutive properties of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) through multiwavelength surveys, and on the feedback effects of AGN on galaxies.

Involved in several national and international research projects (e.g. COSMOS, CDFS, VANDELS, Euclid, eROSITA, Athena), she has collaborations with different European research Institutes (overall,  Max Planck Institute and ESO in Garching, Germania).

Overall, she played a major role in the planning, execution, and scientific exploitation of X-ray and multi-wavelength surveys. This effort led to a large amount of refereed papers and a world-wide recognized impact (Author of ~270 publications on refereed Journals, H-index=85).
