At the Department of Statistical Sciences of the University of Padua, I obtained my Master's degree and then, in 2017, my PhD.
Academic Career
From January 2017 until November 2018, I worked at Department of Statistical Sciences of Padua as a post-doc. Until 2023, I was a Research Fellow at the Department of Economics, University of Venice.
Teaching Activities
Since 2018, I have been continuously carrying out teaching activities as a holder of various teachings for Bachelor's and Master's degree courses.
I currently teach "Social Statistics" and "Economic and Business Demography" for the Degree Course in Statistics at the University of Bologna.
Scientific Activity
I was Research Assistant at the "Max-Planck Odense Center on the Biodemography of Aging" (Denmark) from March to June 2016 to analyse the relationship between causes of death and premature mortality.
I collaborated with WHO to quantify the economic benefits of reducing socio-economic inequalities in mortality in Europe and participated in the PRIN 'Unfolding the SEcrets of LongEvity' to study the factors and mechanisms related to increasing life expectancy. I worked with the Department for Family Policies and ISTAT to quantify the level of coverage of early childhood services in Italy.
Included in the PNRR PE8 - AGE- IT, I have the opportunity to study the events that characterise life courses in old age.
Institutional Activities
At the University of Venice, I have been a member of several commissions for the award of scholarships and research grants.
At the Department of Statistics of Bologna, I am a member of the QA (Quality Assurance) Management Commission for the Degree Course in Development and International Cooperation.
