  • 2002-2006 Bachelor student in Physics at University of Milan (Italy) with thesis title "Physical-mathematical aspects of soap films" and final score of 106/110.

Research and Professional Experience

  • since 2023 Junior Assistant Porfessor (RTD-A) in the Department of Civil, Chemical, Environmental and Materials Engineering (DICAM), PNRR project PE11 - 3A-ITALY, SPOKE 1 - Digital Advanced Design: technologies, processes and tools.
  • 2022-2023 Research Fellow at University of Bologna (Italy), at DICAM, with a project title “Study of the porosity and deterioration resistance of low carbon cements-based materials” funded by HeidelbergCement Company (Germany), under the supervision of Prof. Elisa Franzoni, Prof. Villiam Bortolotti and Dr. Mohsen Ben-Haha.
  • 2017-2021 Team Leader of the Activation/Acceleration Platform in R&D of
    CHRYSO S.A.S. (France). In this role she managed a team of scientific experts about materials science, cement and concrete technology, product formulation and low carbon binders, she directed projects to design new products for reduction of CO2 cement emission, by
    the improvement of cement plant productivity and use of waste from industry as alternative binders, she supervised internal and external PhD students from university studying alternative binders and admixture technology and she managed patents’ portfolio procedures and support for new patents writing.
  • 2012–2017 Research Engineer in the Physical-Chemistry of Interfaces team in
    R&D of CHRYSO S.A.S. (France). In this role, she directed projects to design new superplasticizer and contribute to understand the influence of polymer structure on viscoelastic properties of construction materials, she coordinated a team specialized in rheology, polymer science and physical-chemistry, she developed new methodology for material evaluation to analyze small scale grout and predict concrete rheology with successful scale-up approach.
  • 2008-2011 PhD in construction chemistry at Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology -EMPA- Zurich (Switzerland) in collaboration with the Technical University of Munich -TUM- (Germany) with the thesis title "Interaction of PCE polyelectrolytes with cement mineral surfaces: a study from the macro to the nano-scale", final score of summa cum Laude (maximum score) under the supervision of Prof. Johann Plank form TUM and Dr. Frank Winnefeld and Dr. Josef Kaufmannat EMPA.
