I graduated in Physics (2005, Federico II University, Naples, Italy) and defended a PhD in Geophysics at Alma Mater (2009, with a scholarship from Osservatorio Vesuviano, INGV). After a 1-year post-doc at the Osservatorio, I became a Research Fellow at the Institut für Geophysik, Westfälisches Wilhelms Universität, Münster (2010, Germany), focusing on imaging volcanic structures with seismology. After 4.5 years, I got my first full-time permanent position at the School of Geosciences, University of Aberdeen (UK), where I established a group working on volcano, geothermal, and reservoir imaging. In March 2019, I left the permanent lectureship to becomea Visiting (5-year) Professor of Volcano Seismology at the Institute of Geosciences, Johannes Gutenberg Universität (Mainz), devoting myself to modelling, liaising with Geodynamics and Volcanology. From September 2023, I moved to the Department of Physics to expand my research to all Earth scales and beyond.
