Luca Bernardi

Since 2014, Luca Bernardi is Associate Professor at the University of Bologna. Research and teaching activities are rooted in efficient organic synthesis, stereochemistry, catalysis, and sustainability. Together with Prof. Mariafrancesca Fochi, he is managing a small laboratory active mostly in enantioselective organocatalysis and in the valorization of marine biopolymers (″Blue Chemistry″, in collaboration with Dr. Nathalie Tanchoux, Montpellier). He has been involved in several industry oriented projects, and is serving as national coordinator of the PRIN2020 project "Natural products-assisted organic synthesis". He is member of the Editorial Board of Catalysts, co-editor of the Wiley book ″Methodologies in amine synthesis: challenges and applications″, and has published >80 articles (h-index 39).
