His research interests include synthesis and characterization of functional polymers with peculiar properties for specific applications. In particular, synthesis of multifunctional polymeric materials, photochemistry with special emphasis to photochromism and photoinduced properties, supramolecular chiral organization of polymeric and dendrimeric compounds, chiroptical properties, liquid crystalline optically active polymeric materials, block-copolymers and photochromic chiral polymers for nanoscale advanced applications in several fields, such as sensors, devices, optical storage systems, photoconductive, phtorifractive and photovoltaic materials.
