Lorenzo Nissen

LN has been a type A fixed-term researcher since 2022. In 2023 he has obtained the National Scientific Qualification for the position of university professor of the second rank - disciplinary field 07/I1; SSD AGR/16. He is the author of 43 scientific articles with 887 citations and H-Index 16. (https://www.scopus.com/authid/detail.uri?authorId=24071718600). He received a Ph.D. in Microbial Ecology in 2008. He is an expert on prebiotics, hemp and Bifidobacteriaceae. He is involved in omics science and multivariate statistics to study the interaction between food and gut microbiota with in vitro gut models, as MICODE (https://twitter.com/micode_lab) with Prof. A. Gianotti, at CIRI Agro (https://centri.unibo.it/agroalimentare/it). He is Associate Editor for Open Life Science (Ed. De Gruyter) Frontiers in Food Microbiology; Frontiers in Microrganisms of Digestive Systems (Frontiers) e Foods (MDPI). He is part of the personnel of the Research Unit 4 of the project PRIN 2022 Combined Approaches to expLore the Impact of wholemeal semolina and pasta processing on MEtabolic RespOnses (CALIMERO).
