Lorenzo Negri graduated in 2017 with a Master's degree in Agricultural Science and Technology at the Department of Agri-Food Science and Technology at the University of Bologna.

In 2022, he received the PhD degree in Agricultural, Environmental and Food Sciences and Technologies from the University of Bologna. He's currently a post-doc research fellow at the Department of Agri-Food Science and Technology, University of Bologna.

His main research activities concern plant physiology related to plant sceondary metabolism, with a focus on functional and nutraceutical compounds produced by species of agricultural interest (mainly legumes and cereals) and allelochemical compounds. Another area of interest in research activities is the study of crop physiology in relation to the adopted agronomic technique and environmental factors (mainly abiotic stresses and the impacts of climate change). The development and optimization of agronomic practices with reduced environmental impact is the third main topic that Lorenzo Negri study in his research activities.
