Lorella Ceschini

Full Professor of Metallurgy at the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Bologna. Author of more than 250 publications indexed in the major bibliographic databases. Research focuses on the relationships between processing, microstructure and properties of ferrous alloys, aluminium, titanium and magnesium alloys, and metal matrix composites. Expertise includes casting, metal forming and additive manufacturing (PBF-LB and WAAM), with particular emphasis on heat treatment optimization, fatigue and wear behaviour. Principal Investigator of numerous research projects with industrial partners in the Emilia-Romagna Motor Valley, packaging and advanced manufacturing sectors. Participates in European research projects on metallic materials. Coordinated Spoke 11 – Innovative Materials and Lightweighting of the National Sustainable Mobility Centre (MOST).
