• 2010-2012 EuroMatrix+ (Bringing machine translation for European languages to the user)

Worked on the construction of a Bulgarian valence lexicon.

Worked on rule-based text segmentation and morphological tagger modules.

Supervised the development of a Bulgarian-English alignment training corpus for machine-based translation and authored an annotation style guide.

Tailored a markup language for the annotation of coreference chains and subsequently created an annotated corpus.

• 2008-2011 LTfLL (Language Technologies for Lifelong Learning)

Adapted TimeML time and event annotation language for BulTreeBank, the Bulgarian HPSG-based corpus.

• 2007-2008 LT4eL (Language Technology for eLearning)

Developed semiautomatic definition recognition module for Bulgarian language. Implemented finite-state local grammars for part-of-speech disambiguation of Bulgarian texts using ClaRK, an XML system for corpora development.
