Appointed of the courses of Institutes in Roman Law, History of Roman Law, Roman Foundations of European Law within the single-cycle degree in Law of the University of Bologna (Ravenna Campus). He has been granted the qualification for the full professorship (ASN 2018). His main research interests concern the history of roman jurisprudence, roman tradition and the foundations of European law. He is author of four monographs: Il prestito marittimo in diritto romano, Bologna, 2011; Il terzo libro del commentario di Paolo ad edictum. Parte prima, Bologna, 2013; I vizi del consenso nella tradizione romanistica, Torino, 2020; I Brevium [ad edictum] libri XXIII di Giulio Paolo, Torino, 2023. He is the Principal Investigator of the University of Bologna Research Unit to implement the PRIN 2017 project "Italian Scholars in the face of the Race Laws (1938-1945): Ancient Historians and Jurists".
