IMN is a fixed term researcher _A from January 2025 at DISTAL. She is specialised in molecular biology applied to plant pathology. She holds a PhD in microbial ecology and plant pathology. She attended the Specialization programme in Environmental and Wildlife Management and Conservation. Her research focuses on interdisciplinary approaches to plant health and the monitoring of fungicide resistance, integrating advanced molecular methods, including droplet digital PCR (ddPCR). She pays particular attention to the potential use of detection dogs (AG DOGS) in plant health management. She collaborates with national research institutions, such as ISPRA, and international organisations, including the Basque Institute for Agricultural Research and Development (NEIKER). She is actively involved in science communication and education. She supports the One Health approach, promoting integration across agricultural sciences, veterinary medicine, and the social sciences.
