Ira Torresi

I have been an Associate Professor of the University of Bologna since 2015 and I qualified for full professorship in April 2021. My main research fields are translation (of James Joyce's Ulysses, and of promotional and advertising texts, with particular reference to visual elements and/or gender and cultural aspects) and interpreting (in particular, Child Language Brokering). I have been coordinating the postgraduate programme in Interpreting since 2021. I sit on the Board of the PhD programme in Translation, Interpreting, Intercultural Studies and on the Scientific Committee of JoNPIT - the Journal of Non Professional Interpreting and Translation.
