Education

Graduated at the University of Parma (2005) and Bologna (2009), I completed my PhD in Comparative Literature at the University of Florence in 2013. I was also Visiting Researcher at the University of Montréal (Québec) in 2012.

Academic Career

Former Teaching Assistant at the University of Bologna (Italy), I was granted with a one-year postdoc at the Ecole normale supérieure (Paris) as Lauréat Ville de Paris. I have been qualified as assistant professor in Italian Studies by the French Ministry of Research and Education since 2016. I also resulted as qualified to the position of associate professor in Comparative Literature by the Italian Ministry of Research and Education in 2017.

I was Postdoctoral Researcher in Comparative Literature at the University of Bologna from 2016 to 2019. After being Junior Assistant Professor (2020-22), I am now Senior Assistant Professor in the same discipline and institution.

Teaching Experience

I was also Instructor of Italian Language, Culture and Literature at the US programs in Italy such as Eastern College Consortium (E.C.Co: Vassar College, Wellesley College, Wesleyan University) in Bologna and Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) in Ferrara.

I taught in the International FCT PhD Programme in Comparative Studies at the University of Lisbon.

I taught Sociology of Literature at the Masters Program of my university, as well as a seminar on argumentative writing. Currently, I teach Sociology of Literature in BA programs.

Postdoctoral Experience

My Unibo postdoctoral research project Hybridization in the face of the contemporary literary environment: towards a dymanic genericity? was directed by Professor Donata Meneghelli, with the support of Centro Studi Sara Valesio (Bologna) lead by the Giuseppe Ungaretti Professor Emeritus of Italian Literature at Columbia University Paolo Valesio.

As part of my research, I co-organized the international conference “Attention au paratexte! Seuils thirty years later,” (February 2018), funded by the Department of Classical Philology and Italian Studies, the Department of Modern languages, literatures and cultures, and the Université franco-italienne / Università franco-italiana. I was member of the scientific committee of the international conference L’essai médiatique. Colloque international, Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée, November 2019.

I am a member of the research team for the project, Back to the future. La ricezione dell’antico nella società contemporanea (P.I. Daniele Pellacani), Alma Idea Grant Junior, University of Bologna (2018-2020).

In 2015, with a grant from the City of Paris, I carried out the postdoctoral project Entretiens de Roland Barthes: étude interdisciplinaire d’une posture d’auteur (sociologie, génétique, humanités numériques) at the Institut des textes et des manuscrits modernes (ITEM) at the Ecole normale supérieure (ENS) and the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS).

Academic Board

Elected member of the Board of the FICLIT Department, as delegate of Assistant Professors.

Vice-President of the Center for Contemporary Poetry at the University of Bologna.

Member of the Public Engagement Board of the FICLIT Department. 

I was Journal Manager of the academic journal Scritture migranti from 2020 to 2024.
