Agronomist. He has taught weed control at the University of Basilicata, plant ecology, general agronomy, institution of vegetable and flower crops, and field crop at the University of Bologna for more than 30 years. He is carrying out long term agronomic experiments (started in 1966) on organic and mineral fertilizations, and on crop successions. He wrote 4 books and more than 90 papers.
