Short Bio

Associate professor of History of Religions at the Alma Mater University of Bologna since November 2021, she holds a PhD in (Ancient) History from the University “Federico II” of Naples (2011) and was a research fellow at the University of Salerno (2015-2018). She is a member of IAHR, EASR, SISR; CUSGR as well as CUSR, SIS and AICC. In 2020/21 has coordinated, in partnership with Complutense University of Madrid, University of Helsinki and Jagellonica University of Krakow, the LARES [http://site.unibo.it/lares] Project - Language and Religion: Lexical Change and Variation in Ancient Religious Enculturation/Acculturation Phenomena (UNA Europa Seed Funding 2019011). She is currently a member of the LGRT Project - Lexicon of the Greek Ritual Terminology (Heritage PRA 2nd edition) coordinated by Jagiellonian University. Since 2023 she has been a member of the Quality Assurance (QA) Management Committee for the Master's Degree Course in Religions Histories Cultures (LM64). She edited the Italian translation of the collection of essays by Armin W. Geertz, Cognitive and Evolutionary Approaches to Religion (Pàtron, 2020).

Office hours

Student office hours are held in person in the lecturer’s office at Via Zamboni 38, second floor (entrance through the Library of the Ancient History section), or online via Teams, if requested by the student or in case of inability to attend in person. They are generally scheduled on Fridays, from 11:00 to 15:00, at a time to be agreed upon by prior appointment (to be requested by email at least three days in advance).

From June 1 each year (once the lectures of the fourth teaching period have concluded), it is also possible to arrange office hours on a different day (subject to the lecturer’s availability), to be agreed in advance via email.
